The Shell ROTELLA brand offers a line of ELC and Fully Formulated coolants designed to provide engines with:

1. Protection against overheating - excellent heat transfer properties allow more efficient heat transfer, protect against freezing and boiling.

2. Corrosion protection - Corrosion inhibitor technology protects metals from all forms of corrosion.

3. Maintenance savings - The technology helps extend the life of the coolant and extend the life of seals, hoses and other cooling system components - helping to reduce overall maintenance costs.

ELCs are designed for 960,000 km on the highway (and more under proper control) and provide an overall reduction in cooling system maintenance.

ROTELLA ELCs also provide complete protection for cooling system components, helping to reduce water pump failures, hard water scale and silicate gel deposits.

-Minimum coolant life is 960,000km with only one addition of Shell Rotella ELC Extender at 480,000km

-Improved water pump seal life due to low dissolved solids
